1.Ôðàíöûí ýðäýìòýí Matthieu Ferry-èéí ñóäàëãààíû ¿ð ä¿íãýýñ

Ar-hutul section of the Hovd fault where surface rupture was described over a length of ~200 km. Detailed mapping of stream gullies from high-resolution Pleiades satellite images show a consistent pattern of right-lateral offsets from a few meters to ~500 m. At Climbing Rock, we surveyed a gully offset by 75 ± 5 m. The associated surface was sampled for 10Be profile which yields an exposure age of 154 ± 20 ka. The resulting minimal right-lateral slip rate ranges 0.4-0.6 mm/yr. However, drainage reconstruction suggests this surface may have recorded as much as 400 ± 20 m of cumulative offset. This implies the Khovd fault may accommodate as much as 2.6 ± 0.4 mm/year, which would make it the main active fault of the Altay.

At a smaller scale, TLS topography documents offsets in the order of 2.5-5 m that likely correspond to the most recent surface-rupturing event with Mw ~8. A value of 2.8-3.0 m is reconstructed from a Uiger grave dated AD 750-840. At Marmot Creek and Small Creek, short drainages flow across the fault and form ponds against the main scarp. Two paleo seismic trenches reveal similar stratigraphy with numerous peat layers that developed over alluvial sands. The fault exhibits near vertical strands affecting pre-ponding units as well as a well-developed peat unit radiocarbon-dated AD 1465-1635. This unit likely corresponds to the ground surface at the time of the last rupture. It is overlain with a sandy pond unit on top of which a second continuous peat unit developed after AD 1795-1895. According to OxCal modelling of the whole stratigraphic sequence, the most recent event occurred between AD 1515 and AD 1865 with a favored time of occurrence at the end of the earlier peat development, i.e. after AD 1635. Considering known seismicity for that time window, our findings strongly support that the Hovd fault produced the AD 1761 earthquake. (Matthieu Ferry, 2014)

Ïàëåîñåéñìîãåîëîãè÷åñêèå èññëåäîâàíèÿ â ñåâåðíîé ÷àñòè çîíû ïàëåîñåéñìîðàçðûâîâ Àð Õóòýë

Ïðîâåäåíî ãåîëîãî-ãåîìîðôîëîãè÷åñêîå è ïàëåîñåéñìîëîãè÷åñêîå èçó÷åíèå ñèñòåìû ïàëåîñåéñìîäèñëîêàöèé Àð-Õóòýë. Ïî ðåçóëüòàòàì ïàëåîñåéñìîëîãè÷åñêèõ èññëåäîâàíèé ðàçðåçîâ ïðèïîâåðõíîñòíûõ ñëîåâ ìîëîäûõ îòëîæåíèé â òðàíøåÿõ è øóðôàõ, âûïîëíåííûõ íà âîñòî÷íîì ñêëîíå Ìîíãîëüñêîãî Àëòàÿ â çîíå àêòèâíîãî ðàçëîìà Õîâä, îáíàðóæåíû ìíîãî÷èñëåííûå ñëåäû äîèñòîðè÷åñêèõ ñèëüíûõ çåìëåòðÿñåíèé, âûðàæàþùèåñÿ â ðàçâèòèè ãîðèçîíòîâ îñàäêîâ, îòëîæèâøèõñÿ â ïðèðàçëîìíîé îáëàñòè âñëåäñòâèå âîçíèêíîâåíèÿ âðåìåííûõ ñåéñìîãåííûõ ïîäïðóäíûõ îçåð. Çàõîðîíåííûå ýòèìè îñàäêàìè ïàëåîïî÷âû äàòèðîâàíû ñ ïîìîùüþ ðàäèîóãëåðîäíîãî ìåòîäà.

Îáñëåäîâàíèå ÏÑÑ Àð Õóòýë â çîíå àêòèâíîãî ðàçëîìà Õîâä (Êîáäî) è èçó÷åíèå åå ïðèïîâåðõíîñòíîãî ñòðîåíèÿ ãåîìîðôîëîãè÷åñêèìè ìåòîäàìè, â òðàíøåÿõ è øóðôàõ ê þãî-çàïàäó è ê ñåâåðî-çàïàäó îò ã. Õîâä ïîçâîëÿåò çàêëþ÷èòü, ÷òî âñå èçó÷åííûå ó÷àñòêè ÿâëÿþòñÿ âåñüìà àêòèâíûìè ñ ñåéñìè÷åñêîé òî÷êè çðåíèÿ. Îíè ïðîÿâëÿëè ñåáÿ â êà÷åñòâå ñåéñìîàêòèâíûõ ñòðóêòóð, ïî-âèäèìîìó, â òå÷åíèå âñåãî ãîëîöåíà. Îá ýòîì ãîâîðèò ïðèñóòñòâèå â èõ çîíàõ ìîëîäûõ ïåðâè÷íûõ è âòîðè÷íûõ ïàëåîñåéñìîäèñëîêàöèé (óñòóïîâ íà ìîëîäûõ ôîðìàõ ðåëüåôà, îñûïåé, íåìíîãî÷èñëåííûõ îïîëçíåé, îáâàëîâ), ñâÿçàííûõ ñ ñèëüíûìè çåìëåòðÿñåíèÿìè ïðîøëîãî. Îòìå÷àåòñÿ íàëè÷èå íåñêîëüêèõ ãåíåðàöèé äðåâíèõ, èñêîïàåìûõ ãîðèçîíòîâ îòëîæåíèé âðåìåííûõ ïîäïðóäíûõ îçåð è êîëëþâèàëüíûõ êëèíüåâ â çîíàõ ñåéñìîãåííûõ âàëîâ ñæàòèÿ íà òðåõ îòðåçêàõ ÏÑÑ. Ïî òîëùèíå ãîðèçîíòîâ îçåðíûõ îòëîæåíèé è âûðàæåííîñòè â ðåëüåôå äðåâíèõ ñåéñìîðàçðûâîâ ìîæíî çàêëþ÷èòü, ÷òî ìàãíèòóäà ñâÿçàííûõ ñ íèìè çåìëåòðÿñåíèé ñîñòàâëÿëà îêîëî 8.0. Ýòè ñåéñìè÷åñêèå ñîáûòèÿ ñîãëàñíî ìàòåðèàëàì ïðîâåäåííîãî òðåí÷èíãà ìîãëè ïðîèçîéòè ïðèìåðíî 7200, 6900, 6600, 1500 è ïîçæå 700 (âåðîÿòíî 250) ëåò íàçàä, â ñîîòâåòñòâèè ñ âîçðàñòîì íåñêîëüêèìè îáíàðóæåííûõ ãîðèçîíòîâ çàõîðîíåííîé ïàëåîïî÷âû è òðåõ êîëëþâèàëüíûõ êëèíüåâ. Âåðîÿòíî, èìåëè ìåñòî è áîëåå ñëàáûå ñåéñìè÷åñêèå ñîáûòèÿ âî âðåìåííûõ ïðîìåæóòêàõ ìåæäó ñèëüíåéøèìè òîë÷êàìè.

Ó÷èòûâàÿ âåñüìà íèçêóþ ñîâðåìåííóþ ñåéñìè÷åñêóþ àêòèâíîñòü çîíû ðàçëîìîâ Õîâä â ðàéîíå îäíîèìåííûõ ãîðîäà è ñàìîíà, à òàêæå ñóùåñòâåííûé èíòåðâàë âðåìåíè ñ ìîìåíòà ñåéñìè÷åñêîé àêòèâèçàöèè ïðîøëîãî (250 ëåò), ìîæíî çàêëþ÷èòü, ÷òî â áëèæàéøèå ãîäû âîçìîæíî âîçíèêíîâåíèÿ íîâîãî ñèëüíîãî çåìëåòðÿñåíèÿ â çîíå ýòèõ ðàçëîìîâ ñ ìàãíèòóäîé ïîðÿäêà 7.0 è áîëåå.  ñâÿçè ñ ýòèì ñëåäóåò ïðîäîëæèòü ðàáîòû ïî ïàëåîñåéñìîãåîëîãè÷åñêîìó èçó÷åíèþ ðàéîíà äëÿ ðåêîíñòðóêöèè äîëãîñðî÷íîãî ñåéñìè÷åñêîãî ðåæèìà, åãî ñåéñìîëîãè÷åñêîìó ìîíèòîðèíãó è, âîçìîæíî, ðàçâåðíóòü èññëåäîâàíèÿ ïî ñðåäíåñðî÷íîìó è êðàòêîñðî÷íîìó ïðîãíîçó çåìëåòðÿñåíèé.
